Terms & Conditions

What Looply is
Looply is a community platform for sharing pre-loved books through participating councils and organisations. You contribute books you no longer want and claim books others have contributed -- both earn you credit, and claiming is always free.
Credits aren't currency
Credits have no cash value, can't be sold, transferred, or redeemed for money, and exist only to recognise participation in the community. Looply may adjust how credits are calculated or granted at any time.
Your responsibilities
- Describe a book's condition honestly when you contribute it. Looply relies on self-reported condition rather than staff inspection — accuracy matters for everyone using the platform.
- Confirm receipt honestly when you claim a book, including reporting if its actual condition doesn't match what was declared.
- Only claim books for yourself, not to resell or redistribute commercially.
Accountability
Repeated mismatches between declared and actual condition are reviewed, and Looply may suspend or limit an account where there's a pattern of misuse.
No warranty
Books are provided as-is by the community. Looply doesn't inspect books before they're shared and can't guarantee their condition, and isn't liable for the condition of any book exchanged through the platform.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. (This section is a placeholder pending real legal review — see the notice above.)
