Looply connects people with books to give away to people who want to read them, coordinated through local councils and organisations.
Looply started from a simple observation: most households have books sitting unread, and most libraries and community noticeboards already have a spot where people leave books for others — it just isn't tracked, credited, or easy to discover. Looply adds that layer: a place to see what's available nearby, and earn credit both for sharing a book and for claiming something new to read.
Every book on a shelf instead of in landfill is a small win — Looply just makes that easy to do, and easy to see happening.
No staff physically checks every book. We trust contributors to describe their books honestly, and back that up with a simple accountability loop.
Councils and organisations already have the trusted physical spaces — Looply adds the coordination layer on top, at low cost to them.
